1 month old

Time sure flies with this little guy! Here he is at 1 month and 1 week old...

Our little monkey with his monkey. They could be brothers! HaHa!
He still looks small, but when you look at this picture of him when he first came home you can see how much he's grown. It's amazing!

Here are some more pictures we took of Luke at 1 month...such a beautiful boy.

Meeting Grandma & Grandpa

Andy's parents drove up to meet Luke just shy of his 1 month bday. Here's some pictures from their trip. Hanging out at home...

We went to Tahoe and found this neat walking path - here's us stopping to give Luke his lunch lakeside.

He looks so small in Andy's arms!

You can't hold me!

We just recently started using Luke's Swaddler. You can tell by this picture that I had a little trouble getting it right! He kicked and tugged his way right out of it! He's so strong! Don't worry....we've figured it out since taking this picture. :) Rookie mistake!

Betsy and Brittany's Visit

We were so excited that Aunt Betsy and cousin Brittany drove down from Washington for Memorial Day weekend. It was a long drive for them (around 13 hours) but we were so happy they made the long trip to meet Luke! Brittany's doing her college search so we took her to see UNR. We FINALLY got some beautiful weather so it was a great day to walk around campus. Here's us by the stadium...

Brittany and Andy by one of the Engineering buildings. I can't believe we're going to have ANOTHER engineer in the family! Brittany, please consider the fact that your classmates will behave a lot like your male cousins....it's ok if you decide to change majors after thinking about that one!

Walking through the quad on such a beautiful day!

The UNR library is beautiful. We spent some time playing with this giant touchscreen that showed a map of the university. Kind of like a giant iphone. As you can see, Luke thought it was fascinating :)

Then we found this beautiful study room (If we had rooms like this in the library when I was college, I might have studied more!) and stopped to take a break....

and give Luke his first bottle! Betsy is laughing because Luke was chugging and the milk was coming out a little too fast. That bottle was gone in just a few short minutes. He's a good little eater!

Luke snuggling with Brittany

A very important moment in every boy's life...His first trip to In N Out Burger!

Next stop...Lake Tahoe! We found a pretty place to sit by the lake and feed Luke

Then we went for a really pretty walk along the water. Luke was awake which was nice since he usually sleeps when he's in his car seat/stroller. He loves to be outside!

Betsy and Brittany definitely kept Luke entertained!

But they couldn't leave without updating his wardrobe. Luke loves his first pair of Nike's - just like Daddy's! He's got some big shoes to fill - literally!

So great to see you, Betsy and Brittany! We love you!

Grandma DON'T GO!

We are so lucky that mom was able to be with us from right before Luke made his amazing entry into the world through the first 3 weeks of his life. In that time Luke and Grandma Frankie became best friends and just didn't want to say goodbye. (Although I think I probably cried harder than either one of them when she had to leave!) Here's a picture of the oh-so-close pair the day she left. Check out his outfit - it's one of my favorites and one of Grandma's too. :)

Don't worry, Luke. We'll be "off to Grandma's" soon. Mom, thanks again for all of your help. Don't know what we would've done without you! Love you!

Mommy time

Mom was such a huge help while she was here. But one of the best things she did for me (besides loving on her grandson, cooking, cleaning, and keeping me company) was babysitting so I could go get myself cleaned up. Here's a picture of me and Luke after I got my "her did" aka my "mommy makeover."

And here are some cool burp cloths that our friends, Clayton & Kelly sent to us. It's the first thing we have with his name on it. So cute!

2 weeks and stylin'!

Mom and I went to the outlets while she was in town (I know, you're shocked...Grandma went shopping?! GASP). And we found a fantastic Carter's outlet and some great deals. This is my favorite outfit! - the one on him, not on me :) It's not a closeup, but it has a onesie with animals and a zip up jacket with a popped collar. Such a big boy outfit for such a little boy!
