Fall family visit

The last time Grandma Frankie and Grandpa Jim were in town together we were bringing Luke home from the hospital in. Needless to say he's a lot more active now!
Mom was much more successful with the rice cereal than I was! We need to get a high chair so we can stop sitting on the floor to feed him! Don't know if it's funnier to watch Luke make a mess or to watch mom try to get him to eat. "yum yum yum! so good! num num nummy!"

Yes, the bib says, "My Mom is Hot." That was a gift from my friend, Shannon. What it should say is My Mom is Not...Sleeping. He's waking up 2-3 times every night - ugh...we're working on that!

Andy made it home Thursday for "date night" which turned into football night because there was a game on. But at least he got some time with Luke on a beautiful evening.

We took advantage of the good weather and went on walk along the river and through downtown. Here's Mom, Dad, and Luke by the Truckee River.

We stopped to eat at a cool place along the river -

Luke at his first "fancy restaurant" with his barefeet on the table. Classy.

Dad took this cool picture of the storm that rolled in and brought some cold rainy days.

We stayed inside to celebrate Luke's 5 month bday.

We got him a bundt-lette from Nothing Bundt Cakes, but he preferred the taste of his plastic rings (that's a teething baby for you!)

Oh well, the rest of us had a bundt-lette buffet. YUM! I think we may have to celebrate every month like this!

Speaking of teething...this is what Luke usually looks like these days - always chewing on his fingers or his plastic rings.

My little all star at 5 months :)
Dad had to go back to paint the deck, but mom changed her flight to stay a few more days. We'll take all the time we can get! Here is Luke with his Grandma before she left.

Once again Mom and Dad took care of a thousand projects around the house while they were here - thanks so much for everything you do -especially for loving our little Luke so much!

Aren't Mom's and Dad's the best? My parents were just here for a week and I got several Dad projects done. Them Dad's don't want to sit still! I'll bet teething is the reason he's not sleeping through the night. Maybe a little baby tylenol would get him through the nights. Once again great pictures. Hard to believe Luke is already 5 months old.
