For Luke's first fourth of July we decided to take our first weekend trip. We rented a house a Donner Lake with our friends (two other couples + their four kids). Andy and I were laughing because it took us so long to get out of the house since we had to pack up what seemed like the whole house for a 2 day 2 night trip! Wow kids come with a lot of stuff! It was a good first trip because the lake is only 40 minutes away. And the house we rented was great - walking distance to the lake and we had the whole upstairs to ourselves so Luke didn't wake the whole house when he got up at 4am to eat! By Sunday he was wiped and spent most of the day sleeping on Dad. Life is good!
Luke did great on our first weekend away from home. We had such a great time with our great friends! Can't wait to do it again!
