First shots :(

After a great time at the lake, we were bummed we had to come home and go to the Dr. for Luke's 2 month appointment! Andy, Luke and I made our way to the Dr. first thing in the morning. He weighed in at 12 lbs 9 oz - our little boy ain't so little any more! The doctor commented on how alert and how strong Luke is (yes, Andy was glowing when she said this). He IS pretty strong, though - he's been holding his head up since he was born and he is the king of the staring contest. No one escapes those blue eyes. It was a great appointment until the nurse came in with the shots. Andy had to hold Luke because I was in the corner crying. Poor little guy he was all smiles until they stuck him then he let out a cry I never heard from him before. So sad! This motherhood thing is really making me sensitive! He cried for a long time then he fell asleep in the car and slept for most of the day. But here's a picture of him after his shots. He loves to look up at the animals on the wall above his changing table. Notice the big bandaids on his little legs. :( Ouch!
